2,000 year old glass from the time of the Roman Empire, unearthed in Israel. The ancient glass has acquired a “patina” finish, the result of centuries of interaction with natural earth minerals. As rain water seeped through the ground, mineral deposits were left on the surface of the glass creating the colorful and delicate “patina”. The glass is unearthed from archaeological sites in Israel and the jewelry is handcrafted by skilled Israeli artisans, creating this unique product of nature and man.
Roman Glass Care: Avoid contact with water, lotions and perfumes. Clean the silver portion only with a polishing cloth. When not wearing the jewelry, store it in plastic baggies, away from moisture, humidity and possible harsh contact with other jewelry. The glass and patina are very fragile and should be handled with care
